Importing and exporting presets from both Aperture and Lightroom is a fairly straightforward procedure. By following the simple steps below you will be ready to either use the presets from Presetpond, or upload your own in no time.
Importing and exporting presets from Aperture
Open Aperture and select the “Adjustments†tab in the sidebar. From here select the dropdown marked with “Presets†and select “Edit presets..â€. A new window will pop up with a list of your presets. In the down left corner you will see an icon – clicking this icon will open a dropdown with options to import and export. From here on it is just a matter of either importing the preset downloaded from Presetpond or selecting one of your own presets for export.
Importing and exporting presets from Lightroom
Adobe has made the process of importing and exporting presets extremely easy. Make sure you are in develop mode by pressing “Develop†in the upper right hand corner. In the sidebar you will see folders with your presets – it is now just a matter of right clicking the preset/folder you want to export or import to. It is as simple as that.
