Aperture Preset - Salmon Washed Out

I created this preset for portraits (candid shots)

It has a soft, vintage feel with milky shadows and washed out colors, with a “salmon” Color Monochrome adjustment

Love it! can made one for Lightroom Preset?

Hi numen
You can get close to this kind of style with Lightroom.
But I don’t know if you can crash down the shadows and then pull them back up, to achieve these milky blacks

I can’t import this in my Lightroom 3.5. :(

On October 22, 2011 andrearusky said:

Dear Manisha,
I’m sorry, as you can see from the title, this is an Aperture Preset, not a Lightroom Preset.

Oh, damn!
I just checked. :|

PS. Is there a possibility of getting this similar effect in Lightroom?

Hi again!
Sorry I was away in these last few days.
Unfortunately, you can’t create these milky shadows with Lightroom.
Even if you reduce the contrast and use a linear curve in the “ToneCurve”.
Lighroom will always try its best to keep the blacks.. black!

In Aperture, you are free to mess around with your images using the “Curves” and “Levels” like you do in Photoshop.

Now that Lightroom 4 (beta) has added the RGB curves, it will be easier to create this kind of presets with Lightroom as well.
Not quite the same controls (Aperture can add more than 1 RGB curves control + other color adjustments and textures)but it’s a step forward for Lightroom users.

@ DarenCornell
The download link works for me..
Maybe there was a problem with the connection before.

Anyways, if you still have problems… I’ve uploaded this preset here:

I love this preset and have used it for some shots in Aperture.
Is there still a chance, that you’ll recreate it in LR5?
