Aperture Preset - Soft Tones Dreamy

Very soft, low contrast.
There are 3 “Curves” bricks.
The 1st one is to crush the blacks,
The 2nd one is to pull them back up (to create the milky shadows)
The 3rd one is for reducing the contrast and mess around with the R,G and B value.

The “Color” brick is to reduce the saturation of some of the colors, and pushing back the skin tones saturation.

Lastly, 2 “Color Monochrome” set very low, one brown and one cyan.

It works better for daylight indoor portraits.

Cheers
Andrea Rascaglia

Someone please make this for Lightroom please!?!?!?!?!?!

Hi Samuel.
With Lightroom, you can’t really do the same adjustments as in Aperture. I wish I could use Levels and RGB curves in Lightroom as I do in Aperture.
If you are on Windows, you can try PhaseOne software called “CaptureOne”

Good luck!

Hi guys!
Sorry I haven’t been updating my presets in a long time…
It is possible to create a similar look in LR 4, but not with LR 3 (no RGB curves in Lightroom 3)

This preset is also available for LightRoom V.4 now.

how to change the files name?

On December 18, 2012 andrearusky said:

@Peace:
Do you mean, how to change the file name of the images when you export them?
In Aperture, you click on Export / Versions and then in the pop-up window you select:
Name Format: Custom Name
Custom Name: “Enter name text here”

Cheers!
