Silver Efex Pro Preset - In the Dark
Settings I’ve been using for HDR work that I’m converting into black and white. The original shots were taken at night, hence the name.
The preset is a crisp, grainless treatment with a heavy vignette. I find that with it, I tend to pull up the shadows and decrease the vignette for certain subjects, but otherwise it seems to suit a pretty universal need.

Hi there and excuse my ignorance in asking about SEP files, but how do I begin using these? I have tried looking on numerous websites, but there is nothing. I have Lightroom 3.

This will not import. Silver Efex says wrong file format when attempting to import. Made with an older version maybe?
Hi Wade, yes, I only use SEP 1 (updated for 64bit) and NIK has some bizarre proprietary inability to read formatting between it’s own upgrades as far as I understand. So, I believe this will only work for SEP 1 users unfortunately, unless of course NIK changes the way they allow users to interact with their software.
